YOUR FIRST SESSION WITH JILL - $65
Please allow 75 minutes for your first class, as that a consultation and postural assessment are included. Your Pilates practice is organized in accordance to your individual needs and goals.
You will learn technique through simple exercises that connect you to your core and test strength, range of motion, and flexibility.

CLASS 2 - A DEEPER LOOK:
We reinforce fundamentals and proper use of equipment. I then introduce personalized stretch/release work if this is something your body needs.
Class ends with an understanding of how the Pilates practice can personally benefit you.
CLASS 3 - CREATING A FOCUS :
I want to help you define a focus or plan for your practice to help you visualize and attain your goals. Any modifications or areas of focus that will enhance results and ensure safety will be addressed.
This information can translate into any exercises you choose to engage in as you move forward.
WHAT IS MFS?
Fascia is the connective tissue that runs through all of the different systems of the body acting as a network between nerves, organs, muscles, skin, etc. The journal, Scientific Reports, officially declared your ‘Interstichum’ or fascia a new organ just this past April of 2018, so its not a widely known practice. It continues to grow in popularity in both the fitness and scientific worlds as a breakthrough in how we understand and approach physical health.
Myo means muscle, so we are specifically dealing with the connective tissue or fascia that envelops the skeleto-muscular system. Think of muscle having an elastic quality, while the quality of fascia is plastic, a thin plastic 3 dimensional web that spirals through each muscle. As you stretch your fascia, like plastic, it permanently holds that shape. Returning the fascia to its original length allows the muscles to fire properly.
If you want to see a real change in your flexibility and range of motion, you have to address its fascia.
FOR THOSE WITH PAIN: Injury, trauma, poor posture or impaired biomechanics may cause the fascial system to tighten, putting abnormal pressure on muscles, nerves, blood vessels, bones, organs and the brain. This can result in a variety of symptoms including pain, restriction of motion, and structural misalignment, impairing both daily functioning and athletic performance. When completed properly, MFS removes this abnormal pressure on sensitive structures and allows the body to return to optimal function.
I often incorporate MFS into my private and duets as a compliment the Pilates practice.
MFS on its owns is an active form of stretching. I often begin with some manual techniques such as skin rolling, cupping, and other fascial manipulations to encourage the best possible results. Once you are more in touch with what your fascia feels like, you will immediately understand how it changes the quality of your muscles.
MyoFascial Stretch is an active form of stretching that teaches you how to manipulate your fascia. It is designed to target every muscles in the body while teaching you to control and create space space in all of your joints.
Expect a full body workout that leaves you feeling more open and flexible.

I am a dancer, so I am all about technique. Pilates is proper form and specificity, initiating your core and controlling your alignment. One on one sessions are the way Joe taught Pilates, and believed it should be taught initially in order to embody good technique to get real and lasting results.
Gain insight as to what may be inhibiting you from reaching your goals (i.e. flexibility, muscular imbalance, hormones, digestion, etc).
I consider my artistry in how I communicate. I ensure that every body achieves strong technique, better posture and healthy bio-mechanics.

DUETS and REFORMER CLASS
Once you have gotten more familiar. Duet and small classes are a good way to increase or maintain your practice for the long term. Perfect for those interested in 2-3 times a week and/or have a friend or partner you want to work with.
